Background:  RAP1GDS1 enhances GDP/GTP exchange reaction in a group of small GTP-binding proteins such as Rap1a/Rap1b, RhoA, RhoB and KRas, by stimulating the dissociation of GDP from each G protein and the subsequent binding of GTP. There are two known isoforms.
