Background: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells .G-Actin (globular actin) with bound ATP can polymerise to form F-Actin (Filamentious Actin). Actin monomers spiral ariound the axis of the filament similar to a double helix. F-Actin may also undergo a process called treadmilling, in which filament length remains constant and actin monomers add at one end and dissociated at the other.
